Mefio is a contemporary abstract painter who lives and works in London, UK.
Symmetry and mathematics, vivid iridescent colours and hypnotic patterns lay at the core of her work. The technique of metallic film overlay is derived from a combination of gilding, decals, foiling and carefully applied glazes, a special blending of techniques that makes it so unique.
Graduating from the Arts University Bournemouth in 2008 with a BA in Model Making, she was interested in artwork from a young age and has gained experience with many materials such as metals, resins, ceramics and computer-generated artwork. These invaluable skills later contributed to the founding of a successful online business specialising in decorative glassware. Mefio studio was a natural progression and creative outlet for Mefio’s interest and passion for creating original artworks.
She has participated in Luxemborough’s Art Prize 2020 and her artwork has been shown in several exhibitions in London. Her art has been included in several private collections across the world.
