Diana Vurnbrand was born in Lima, Peru; later, she studied Art History at Hebrew University in Jerusalem where she finished her career at the prestigious Betzalel Academy of Arts and Design. In 1992 obtained her degree as a professional photographer at the New England School of Photography in Boston.

As per the artist, she is inspired by 15th century paintings to create powerful, and yet romantic, portraits of women.

She creates the resin sculptures based in memories.
