People often ask me what I want to say in this or that work. Each drawing has its essence. The viewer associates shapes, colors, details, and sees what is important to him. To take from the work, that which is beyond itself – its world.
Recent work has been of particular interest. “Imagination” is like a canvas, which is thematically different. I have put into it three dimensions of the human inner world. Every detail here has its content, all the strands are intertwined, reflect part of the story and come together as a composition – very beautiful and at the same time mystical.
It is the story of a hooker, her thoughts, her choices – what her reality is and what her imagination is.
A woman overwhelmed by reality, she tries to imagine herself and take refuge in the surreal world of what she wants, what life is like, what is material and what is mystical.
If she decides to repent, will her sins be forgiven? She thinks no – and in front of winged, fallen, black angel lies a trace of torment overwhelmingly in every plot and line, the sun is dark and there is gloom around.
If she decides to live by written rules and morals, then what will her reality be? And in the hooker’s imagination, a pregnant woman appears, very beautiful, blooming with flowers in a beautiful environment like her. However, her gaze is infinite and her eyes are filled with melancholy, hope and love.
In a sun-drenched world, a hooker sits on the sink trying to survive in her imagination. And her back is gazed at by the glare, the sky-blue eyes that see everything – her reality and her imagination.
