ELIZABETH PRUNA
Elizabeth Pruna is of Cuban and French descent, and currently living in the United States.
She began painting and photography at a young age influenced by her artist father and her many travels the world over. Always surrounded by artists she never allowed herself to be influenced by formal artistic training. Instead, she relied on her experiences, which allowed her to explore the possibilities of various materials and tools that she incorporates in her work today.
Pruna’s underlying themes behind all her works deal directly with LOVE how we access to love, interpret its complexities and explore what it means to inhabit Love. This is one of Pruna’s central themes.Â
The need to always create and constantly push her limits further has resulted in artworks that combine bold, personal mantras that vibrate with color and spiritedness with the simple act of claiming one unique voice.
Pruna’s exploratory method captures inspirational fragments of life that exist in her world. Her passion for visual arts and mixed media has aided in the discovery of her own particular aesthetic style and technique.
Through her works Elizabeth Pruna communicates her questioning of the human experience and power of reinvention, many of her abstract pieces evolve over time influenced by new perspectives and fused with the natural energies of opposites of being in the moment and allowing that surrender to inform her work bringing a fresh and innovative dimension to her form of abstract and mixed media works.
