As a kid I was a rolling stone; my family was always on the move. As an adult, I found I could choose to stay or go; first making the West, then Albuquerque my home. My work reflects this choice. I’m drawn to things I see and know well that are all around me. This work is inspired by the many Prickly Pear I encounter during my frequent walks through our neighborhood.
