“State of Mind” is one of Lalage Florio’s recent series of paintings that explores the topics of art, creativity, health and wellness. Artist about her work: “I care for my elderly mother that has dementia and this series is about the feeling of living with a person that suffers from dementia, the feeling of care and the suffering of their family, that deeply loves them. The colours, the glitter, the addiction to medicines, the dependence from obsessive love…Feelings of tenderness and loneliness. It also represents life in a closed box where you must find a way to breathe in the presence of illness in your life. I found my way and creativity is a path to wellness.”
