While I was reflecting on traumas I have experienced (both as an adult and in my early childhood-some of which I still carry with me); I realized that all of my greatest strengths/gifts are tied to events that I viewed to be the most traumatic of my life. It’s almost like our traumas become our superpowers. So, I painted this as a daily reminder that nothing happens TO us, it all happens FOR us. I scrawled out all of the traumas that I am grateful for in illegable handwritting on the background, so that they could become the viewer’s traumas…
