In my eyes, a window is by no means just part of a structure in a house but is something with remarkable meanings. Each window plays its role in its own story and reflects the colorful hearts of people. A window is a poetic medium for people to communicate with nature, and the window frame becomes a picture frame when you look outside through it. The window brings in the natural light, which was associated with God by the ancient people. Genesis begins with “Let light come to be”, which demonstrates that light is the most important source for the world. In this sense, windows are closely relevant to religions.
There has always been such a window in my heart when I lived in a basement many years ago, and it lifted me out of the misery of life and led me toward a better world to communicate with beauty. My works use healing elements for the artistic expression of balance, purity, and serenity.
