This drawing was inspired by the beautiful British actress Tilda Swinton in her role in “Orlando” film.
Elena Dobrovolskaya is a New York based Russian-trained artist working in Contemporary Realism style primarily in oil and pastel.
She exhibited broadly in the US and Europe, including New York, London, Paris, Lisbon, Venice, Rome and Milan. Elena was awarded International Prize “Artist of the Year 2019” during Mantova ArtExpo in Italy, Velasquez Prize in Barcelona and Leonardo da Vinci Prize in Florence in 2020.
Her art was published in French, Italian and British magazines (Spotlight, Aesthetica, House&Garden, GQ,) as well as in “We Contemporary 2019” art volume in Italy, “50 artists to Invest in” art catalogue in 2020 and “Trends in Art: Insights for Collectors” art book curated by Contemporary Art Curator magazine in Great Britain in 2021.
She has already found her own style – her oil portraits are vibrant, colorful and very feminine, delicate, romantic and sexy, modern and classical at the same time. Italian curator Dr. Salvatore Russo describes Elena’s art “as emotional and exciting”. He wrote: “Great poetical lyricism characterizes her extraordinary
visual narratives. Elena brings forward sensitive artistry, and this
sensitivity is reflected on her canvas with great elegance. Her works are dancing in space and stand out by chromatic refinement and the power of symbolism”.
Elena’s first Solo portrait exhibition “Look into my eyes” took place in March 2021 at the Artifact gallery in Manhattan, New York, with a great viewer’s appreciation.
Elena Dobrovolskaya received a personal invitation from the President and Founder of Florence Biennale Dt. Pasquale Celona to participate in Florence Biennale XIIIth edition in October 2021.
