Career work in landscape design and construction, illustration for television, 3D modeling, book design, web design and B2B e-commerce site construction, taught art at USC & Loyola-Marymount universities, created Norton Family Art Projects for Alice Walker and Luciano Perna, illustration for artists Jeff Koons and Ellsworth Kelly appearing in Art in America magazine, and set up the digital print production system for one of the West Coast’s premier commercial lithographers, Typecraft, who currently operate as my artwork output studio.
Have been a digital artist since before it became a thing. Artwork includes 3D motion graphics, art focused CGI, 3D world construction and currently focused on digital monoprints (composed found and stock photos). My belief is that the best approach to art is to use the tools of the time (digital). To do this effectively requires redefining the art making process not mimicking analog techniques. Digital tools are easy to use badly and a challenge to use with depth and relevance.
