Cohart began with a chance meeting between two art world veterans – Kendall Warson, a Parsons fashion design graduate who had worked for Marc Jacobs and Diane von Furstenberg and spent her twenties curating traveling art shows around the world, and Shyevin S’ng, who brought two decades of gallery experience from founding Vin Gallery in Vietnam and InPages Publishing House. Together, they bonded over a shared vision: creating the future of new art in a world where 84% of artists lack gallery access and those who do pay crushing 50-70% commissions.

Today, Cohart combines a business-in-a-box backend with a social community frontend. More than a marketplace, it’s the comprehensive solution that artists, galleries, and art professionals have been waiting for. With over 10,000 active members worldwide growing through word of mouth alone, the platform seamlessly blends powerful business infrastructure – email newsletter tools, website hosting, analytics, and even payment processing – with social interaction features like algorithmic curation, direct messaging, and events.
