Art enthusiasts of all backgrounds will have an opportunity to participate together in AARP South Florida’s innovative and groundbreaking initiative called Sights & Sounds of Heritage by coloring in a 4’ X 6’ original community canvas conveying a powerful message: Advocating for Social Security is an Art Form.
Sights & Sounds of Heritage is a platform from which AARP can connect to multicultural communities and highlight their unity in protecting Social Security. The goal is for attendees to feel a sense of community, a responsibility to preserve cultural values and expressions, and to feel empowered to seek out, learn, and participate in advocating to safeguard the money they earned through a lifetime of work. AARP South Florida representatives and volunteers will also encourage event goers to play the tabletop game of Plinko to test their knowledge about Social Security and for a chance to win fun prizes.
