ART LAB: THE CITY NEVER SLEEPS

Inspired by apprenticing at a tailoring shop in his teen years, many of Hunter Connor's paintings are inspired by clothing design. Working mainly with mixed media, his paintings are rich in color and texture, imitating the textiles and cuts found in high end fashion. The clash of the strictness of the figures against an atmospheric background gives the viewer a focal point in the artwork they are viewing. Every painting has its own personality that is unified through the techniques that Connor uses in all his artwork. Hunter will be creating live in the booth Thursday through Saturday.

ART TALK: INHERENTLY IMPERFECT

The works of Gregg Emery embrace the concept of being imperfect — and that's exactly why they are so collectible! Join us as we explore how his powerful color selections and movements awakens something within his viewers. What is the intention of triggering associations both intended and unexpected? Is it to allow the viewer to enjoy the works with their own, ever-evolving interpretations or something more? See more of Gregg's work at K-Art Projects, Booth 201.
