ARTEXPO NEW YORK 2025 DIGITAL PHOTO CONTEST Terms & Conditions
Term:
Artexpo New York 2025 Digital Photo Contest begins January 13, 2025, and ends February 28, 2025, at 11:59 PM Eastern Standard Time. By submitting an entry, each contestant agrees to the rules of the contest and states that he or she is 18 years old or older. Each image requires a non-refundable $10 submission fee per image. Finalists announced on or before March 8, 2025. Winners announced on or before April 23, 2025.
Who may enter:
The category prizes are open to photographers who are 18 years old or older. Individuals affiliated with Redwood Art Group, including employees, volunteers, consultants, contractors, and their immediate families are not eligible for any prize. Redwood Art Group will determine winners’ eligibility in its sole discretion.
What to enter:
To be eligible for any category, a photograph must have been shot by the entrant since January 1, 2024. This date applies to all images in a composite. The contestant certifies that he/she is the sole creator and copyright owner of the submitted photograph.
Cropped photos are eligible in all categories. Minor adjustments, including the removal of sensor dust or scratches on scans of negatives, dodging and burning, sharpening, contrast, toning, slight color adjustment and conversion to grayscale are acceptable for all categories. The addition and subtraction of objects is not permitted. If the judges determine that a photographer has altered his or her photo beyond normal best practices, they reserve the right to disqualify it. Images generated using Artificial Intelligence (AI) are not permitted.
For a photo in which a person is recognizable, you must be prepared to provide a model release from the subject or, in the case of a minor, the subject’s parent or guardian, to Redwood Art Group upon request.
Similarly, entrants whose photos depict other people’s work (such as sculptures, statues, paintings, and other copyrightable works) must be prepared to provide a release from the rights holder to Redwood Art Group upon request. When photographing the work of others, it must be as an object in its environment and not a full-frame close-up of another person's creation.
If the entrant is unable to provide all required releases, Redwood Art Group in its sole discretion reserves the right to disqualify the submission, seek to secure the required releases, or permit the submission to remain in the contest.
Photos must be taken in accordance with federal, state and local laws.
Photos that violate or infringe upon another person's rights, including but not limited to copyright, are not eligible.
Copyright Information:
By submitting photos for Redwood Art Group’s Artexpo New York 2025 Digital Photo Contest, you are stipulating that you own copyright to these photographs and if needed have permission from the copyright holder to submit these photographs. While you keep 100% copyright to the works submitted, you are granting Redwood Art Group a non-exclusive license to use the photograph in its submitted form, subject to re-sizing to fit the format of Redwood’s choosing, for publication on Redwood’s websites for as long as the websites exists.
