My favorite painting style is classic realism oil painting. Many stunning works of the European Renaissance, for example, Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Johannes Vermeer’s Girl with the Earring, William Adolphe Bouguereau’s Song of Angel will keep me captivated for a long time. I often think that in those days there were no videos, or even color photos as a basis, and it was incredible that such exquisite paintings could be created only from memory and imagination. Especially those classic masters’ research on the portrayal of characters really made me feel totally enthralled.

This work is  Bouguereau’s A female Portrait, which many painters like to paint it as for study his techniques,  me too. Portrait painting creation even need higher painting skills. To meet the challenge, I painted this masterpieces for improving my technical level and experiencing the artistic conception in creation of masters.
