Andy Warhol sits with his Great Dane Cecil in a portrait painted by Trew Love overlayed over a photograph by Karen Bystedt. In this modern depiction, Andy wears an LV jacket, sneakers, and velvet pants with a retro RCA television in the background. The painting is reminiscent of the 80s with a  modern flare.
About Trew Love:
Trew Love was born in the heart of the United States in Kansas City. Raised in an artistic family, Trew was classically trained by her mother, an art teacher, from an early age. At 18, Trew took her classical art training into her first creative job as a makeup artist.
About Karen Bystedt:
Artist KAREN BYSTEDT started her career as a photographer while she was a student at the Tish School Of The Arts at NYU. She photographed, Andy Warhol at the 3rd Factory in 1983 for a book she published on Male models. Moving very often after graduating from Tisch, she lost the Negatives and was able to find 10 of 36 in 2011 in an old corrugated cardboard box. After restoring these, now iconic images ( they reside in several museums), Bystedt conceptualized THE LOST WARHOLS collection by making Warhol into ART collaborating with contemporary artists around the world to paint on top of her images.
