Tara Kissoon’s artwork displays a three-dimensional perspective of architecture.
“The Acropolis of Athens is an ancient citadel located on a rocky outcrop above the city of Athens and contains the remains of several ancient buildings of great architectural and historical significance, the most famous being the Parthenon. The word acropolis is from the Greek words ἄκρον and πόλις.
The Acropolis, and the Parthenon in particular, is the most iconic monument of the ancient Greek civilization. It continues to stand as a symbol in many ways: it is the symbol of democracy and the Greek civilization. It also symbolises the beginning of Western civilization and stands as the icon of European culture. The main reason why the Acropolis is important to Greek architecture is this was used to worship the goddess Athena. It houses several famous Greek buildings. It is a modern art museum that copies ancient Greek design.”
