The Idea and inspiration behind this painting came from two sources.
1- a song and album by Neil Diamond from the ’70s called BE about Jonathan Livingston Seagull.
2- A story by Richard Bach called Jonathan Livingston Seagull.

Both of these are about the flight of a seagull freely into a surreal doorway to become something bigger than itself. I have shown the seagull in four stages in this painting.

First, it is on a rock by the beach. Then it flies toward the dark doorway in the rock. Passing through the doorway to become a sunrise made of a multitude of birds. There are many birds in the sky and between waves. some waves also transformed into birds. In this painting, my other idea was to show reincarnation and immortality. This painting is beautiful, colorful, bright, and mystical with many details. I hope the viewer fell peace and serenity looking at this painting.
