“Betta”  was created in 2020 by master oil painter René Cheng.

Cheng painted this artwork as a contemporary artwork, admiring nature and the wonderful wonder it offers. Such as the reproductive dance, colorful and majestic veils of these little creatures. The male is the nurturing and protective one, like with the sea horse, making a difference. The male makes its bubble nest with its saliva.  In Asia there are betta fish combats. A beautiful gift of nature, reminding us how fragile our interaction with it is and that we do not own it, we are a part of it.
