Fire warms brings life, and also causes destruction. This was the basic concept when the artist came up with the idea of making a series with fire, all of her own photographs. The series explores what is behind the shackles that bind us, which boil us down to society’s instruments of maneuver. From the simple and meaningful act of burning lingerie to our own prejudices and ideas of an ideal world. A mix of what represents destruction and at the same time freedom and material detachment from what fire can cause.
By throwing the panties on the fire and watching them catch fire, we are entering a world that is increasingly different from the standards that society imposes on us. In the second series made with fire, several experiments were carried out with products, to arrive at the desired fire color. With each advance in the destruction of panties, the world created by the artist becomes increasingly out of our norm and out of the ordinary.
