Dog Mountain is in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest in Washington, near the Columbia River gorge. It’s a beautiful dayhike to the top of a mountain where Dog is King! This was a springtime explosion of Yellow Balsamroot! From a distance the entire mountain looked yellow. It was so great, I came back the next day to hike it again with more film. This 35mm slide was scanned on a Heidelberg Tango drum scanner prior to image editing.
