“Each Day Passes And I’m Closer To You” is part of the “Weight Of Glory” series by JP. A crank is installed at the position where you would normally shake hands in greeting. Turn it and the piece comes to life. The sun and the moon rise and set, the faces engaged in conversation as they too rise and fall.
These unique wire pieces are full of imagination, wonder, and delight. Each one is individually hand-crafted with steel wire. The color is added through a novel technique of applying gloss gel medium to a taped-in area, allowing it to dry until it becomes a clear surface on which to paint, then painting the color on the reverse side of the sculpture. Resin is added to the front of the colored areas.
The Weight of Glory pieces are in private collections in Canada and the U.S.A.
