Boy, I love Elemetal # 02. This is number two in a limited series I’ve done with this theme, for my 2022, modern monochrome collection. My pieces are hand-built in my shop first and then painted. I designed it to resemble a very organic, concrete form with the stone chain in paint made with real copper. The depth and texture of this piece are so exciting to the eye. Your eye can cruise across the frame, discovering an endless array of invigorating intricacies. The Copper stone chain is created from a paint made of very fine copper particles and highlighted with other metallic accents. These are elements that give this series its name. The dark, dramatic saturation of colors draws you in in a way that is very cozy. When I look at this piece I feel excited, comfortable, and happy and I hope you do as well!
