The original idea was a geometric design of horizontal and vertical parallel columns that come to the center on top of each other like a pyramid shown from above. The green and brown columns represent land. the blue and pink represent the ocean. The land columns toward the edges are prehistoric land and the other is a deeper part of the sea. The topmost level is the sky. The 3D effect can be seen better when one eye is closed. I leave the circle at the center to the viewer’s imagination. It can be the sun or the earth’s center. It is a fun lively picture with lots of details about ecosystems on earth and images to discover. On and off took me two years from design to finish. although I painted so many others within these years.
