Girl Interrupted is an original acrylic painting on canvas with collage and graphics. It is from the Hanging In The Balance Collection which is my visceral reaction to women and their choices.
Human Rights are “Woman’s Rights”. This collection is a continuation of a lifelong interest in encouraging women to be all that they can be. It is a reminder in a positive and beautiful way to remind all women that they are equal, if not most amazing, in a culture that does not stand 100% behind this! It is shocking to me that this thing we call equality is qualified! It takes me back to “Animal Farm”, “But who is more equal”
In my small way, I am trying to make a statement through my art, so that you and I can have a civil conversation, about bending minds, to hear and change. Equality is for all of us!
