Bold strokes rising in part from the surface of the canvas and appearing to be escaping over the edge of the canvas in a Great Escape much like a person breaking out of their shell, leaving confinement behind, defying the strict limits within a pattern that does not fit, breaking free from one of the many boxes we choose to inhabit limiting our freedom to express ourselves, follow our dreams, our passions on the way to self discovery and fulfillment.
