This painting holds a mysterious and magical quality. The door has an organic shape and form, and appears to have a life of its own. It fits onto the building in a precarious and haphazard manner, as if it was a matter of its choosing. Yet the building is a large square and solid structure constructed of impervious rocks — a complete opposite to the door. Moreover, the building has no windows or openings, and gives no clue about the activities inside or what purpose it serves. Is it a place of worship? A secrete service? A factory or school? etc.
The outside of the building with the green door is completely quiet and rather pleasant. One wonders what people live in there.
