I was inspired by the forest where I visited Montana State a year ago. Though I take my inspiration from trees, I have no interest in taking pictures of the thing but wish to distill the essence and the emotional content of the thing. I have always gotten great pleasure from the colors, color combinations, lines, and forms as they grow on my canvas. When someone else enjoys what I have created, this multiplies my pleasure immensely. When someone enjoys my paintings I feel that they are entering my paintings and touching me.
