This painting was inspired by studying abstract art with an Asian infusion. It romanticizes reaching for someone just out of reach. Someone or something you cannot have but yearn to connect with. Painted on plexiglass. The artist painted the foreground first then layered into the background essentially creating the painting backwards. The final image is reflected through the glossy clear plexiglass. The hanging frame on the back of the painting allows for a floating effect when hung on the wall.
