The inspiration for this piece was every color I experienced at the Fort Lauderdale beach. I wanted to create a light and airy painting with various blues and complimentary hues. I used four to six layers of acrylic paint to achieve a rhythm and balance that are pleasing to the eye. The colors bordering one another are carefully chosen and layered to create a slight tension with overall harmony.

Typically, my work is photography-based, so painting is a freeing experience and an exercise in creating an immersive color experience.

This large painting is the perfect way to bring luxury into any home and can be beautifully displayed on a dining room, bedroom wall, above a sofa, or a kid’s room.
