LOSING FACE, one of the simplest paintings Ive done in a while, yet it was one of the hardest. Last March at the beginning of the pandemic, I lost my beloved Uncle to Covid, I felt paralyzed. I thank God I had my art to pull me through. I painted this right after losing him. Im calling this time of my art life, my Broken Heart phase. I am forever changed. I hope that when people look at this painting they will not see sadness but will instead see hope, and most importantly, love.
