The First Piece of GATSBY’s “Welcome Home” series exploring how we interact with animals & the environment. The haunting way that GATSBY incorporates familiar cartoon animals positioned in despondent, enraged, and often rebellious positions is meant to create a very visceral response from the viewer and challenges us to question our individual roles in the destruction of our environment.
A portion of the proceeds of every piece sold from this series will be donated to The World Wildlife Fund to assist in conservation efforts globally.
*There are seven sea turtle species swimming through the world’s oceans and six of them are classified as threatened, endangered, or critically endangered, due largely to human impact in the form of hunting, bycatch in fishing nets, and climate change.
