Marcela Levinská Borecká – Marilion – artist living in Prague, Czech Republic, has been painting professionally more than 30 years, focused on modern realism and the last five years on abstract art. Her exhibitions were organized in Berlin, four times in Paris, Cairo etc. and many times in her native city Prague and around her country. She is the director of the AMBIT ART exhibition that took place seven times in the ancient Franciscan Brethren Monastery in the centre of Prague.
Her works of art encompass five basic thematic areas. The first area comprises the themes with a touch of the exotic, inspired by journeys to France, Turkey, Syria, Jordan, Israel, Tunisia, Egypt, Morocco, Greece, Srí Lanca etc. Motives of Prague and native countries are the inspiration for the second section. The paintings evoking the impressions of temples and sacred elements constitute the third thematic area of her art. The fourth range of artist activity involves intimate oil and acrylic paintings and pastels of still lifes and faces of friends and also her family. The newest is her discovery of freedom in abstract painting.
“I search for beauty and emotion in the world, in life and in art. This I endeavor to present in my work.”
