This sculpture belongs to the “Skin of My Skin” series with the concept that our body does not have a border with our skin; it is just a sensitive organ connected to the entire universe; hence, our organism cannot survive without sunlight, water or oxygen. We are a unified whole with the forces of nature.
1990 Degree in Art History from the Autonomous University of Lisbon. 1994 sculpture conservation and restoration course, having participated in several projects, highlighting the restoration of the Jerónimos cloister. 1995 scholarship holder at the Youth Foundation in Vigo, Spain.
Between 2006 and 2014, he taught artistic stonemasonry at the Escola Secundaria de Montelavar in Sintra.
From 2008 to 2018, he curated the outdoor sculpture event in Amadora.
His work is represented in Portugal, Spain, France, Brazil, and the USA.
