Hypnoggic inspiration arriving at the onset of sleep. There are times in which I am on the frontier of my dreams in which I have visions cast into my consciousness. As Salvador Dali once called it, the Hypnogogic State, is a theta state of inspiration from which I draw from at times. I awoke from this half sleep state to sketch this painting into existence. The figurative fusion between the human and avian world reflects our collective interwoven nature. There is no “nature” apart from the human experience. We all come from and rely upon our Pacha Mama. The microcosms within our world can be found on her body as she opens her hear and offers fruits forward unto her children, Pacha Toucana reminds us that we must protect and respect our mother from whom we were given life.
