I am very attached to animals, plants and nature. I feel at peace with them as they do not need words. It has been so since that moment people weren’t needed. There are a lot of animals in our backyard: red squirrels, skunks, raccoons, packs of geese, rabbits and red, yellow and blue bird that I only thought existed in fairytales. I have my companion, my dog ma-doong, and an endless lake beautifully unraveling. I greet them but they avoid me. I assume and assert that we coexist selfishly. I let my kids out in the backyard and bring a chair in the hottest spot to watch over them so they don’t get hurt. My body slowly melts like an ice cream. I wish I could just melt away like that. In fact, my paintings are full of my egoistic mindset. My views expect too much from the nature. But that is better, since I do not expect anything from humans.
