“Sensual” was created in 2021 by master oil painter René Cheng.
“Sensual” speaks for itself. In Mexico we celebrate our dead, especially on the “Day of the Dead” (día de muertos).
Sensual, plays with the fantasy of killing a stereotype and being reborn with a new identity, in a fun, sensual and provocative way. It invites to accept the diverse range of human beings, like death and life, that both accept us as we are. This duality of honoring our dead, eating with them in the cemetery, but also mocking death and not taking live so seriously, accepting the circle of life and death. Accepting and respecting one another as we are.
