Description

The idea of this painting is to create a 3 dimension that goes in on some colors and comes out of the canvas on others by using the distance between lines and darkness and lightness of colors to achieve the same 3D effect. Although the dark tone is associated with going in, this painting represents coming out. Viewers see the dark blue at a higher level than the light blue in the center. As in some of my geometric paintings, if the viewer sees the picture with one eye, the 3D effects are intensified. I didn’t want to use hot colors like yellow, red, and magenta because they dominated viewers’ attention.
