“A painter should begin every canvas with a wash of black, because all things in nature are dark except where exposed by the light.” ― Leonardo da Vinci. The Last Supper was created based on my faith, religion and inspiration from great artists. Here, Jesus, Son of God talks about The Creation, The beginning (Michelangelo), Mother and Child (Rembrandt), Christening (Botticelli), Crucifixion (Murillo), and Resurrection (Rafael) I used their work to combine into 1 painting, but changed figures around in time and space to deliver the message. We all are children of God, no matter the time or space, ethnicity, skin color, religion, and sexual orientation. The creation was the beginning. Mother and child are the bonds, love, and care in the family. Christening is acceptance of your faith. Crucifixion is the departure from this dimension to God. Resurrection is proof of eternal life. Jesus talks about Love, Faith, betrayal, and Forgiveness. He talks about choosing kindness and LOVE.
