In this painting, my version of the original sin I am comparing the garden of Eden to the earth. Adam and Eve are already on earth, looking toward the Garden of Eden. The apple is eaten by both of them by the door, reminding them of the comfort they have lost. All the fruit they could eat without effort, clean water, pleasant scenery, a comfortable temperature, and the spirit of God above them.

Here on earth, there are forces of nature, hot sun, clouds, and cold wind. They have to work for their bread and wine. and there is gravel under their feet.

The door to heaven is half open, symbolizing that there is a way to go back to Eden by stepping up toward spirituality.
