Life is a journey.
We see but we do not see.
On a summer day in 2018, I took the number 3 subway to Times Square. As I walked uptown to the bleachers they have constructed facing downtown to the square, people were all around me.
I climbed the bleachers until I was at the top. It seemed like chaos – People scurrying from here to there, many bumping into others with no apologies. Vehicles inching their way down Seventh Avenue. Families, from out-of-town sightseeing. New Yorkers hurrying going here and there as usual. A sea of humanity lay before me under the neon signs – a typical summer day in New York City’s Time Square.
This image was captured that summer day in 2018.
In 2022, I decided to digitally process this image into an oil paint reproduction, to capture the chaos of that day.
This is the result, Times Square.
Now that our paths have crossed let us travel together on this collective journey of wonder and beauty.
