The piece “Vanishing Forest #1 “is part of the series entitled “Alterando” ( means changing ). The images are multiple exposures composed of images taken in the Amazon Rainforest in 2019 in the region of Alter do ChĂ£o, ParĂ¡. Soon after returning from my expedition to the region, numerous fires were recorded very close to the place where I was. From there, I developed the images of this series in post-production, where I mix the original images of the Amazon with old burned negatives, making reference to a dystopian future where the forest as we know it today will no longer exist.
