Aleksandar Zivanovic was born in 1939 in Nis, Serbia and studied painting and drawing with the Serbian painters Jevta Azdejkovic and Aleksandar Jovanovic Birilj and recently with Dobri Stojanovic
He has numerous exhibitions to his credit in Serbia and the other former Yugoslav republics.
