Elaine Bass attended Tyler School of Art and received a BFA and MEd in Painting and supplemented her skill development with attendance at the Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts.  She also chose to increase my Psychological understanding of the creative process  and therefore  studied at Hahnemann Hospital’s  Creative Arts Therapy Department which enabled her to work in Mental Health as a Group Therapist.  She has exhibited in New York at the Owen Gallery, at the Delaware Art Museum,  local Universities, Philadelphia Art Alliance and has sold  privately and to Corporations.
Artist Statement: “The context of my oil paintings reflect the ordinary  people and places who live in the inner cities – they are the peasants of our genre and their presence speaks not only of their inner passions – but also of timelessness.”
