The painting combines two important national symbols: garnet and buta. It was a conscious, though the very spontaneous, decision to combine them on the host in a modern interpretation. Pomegranate, a beautiful juicy fruit, symbolizes fertility and wealth. “Buta” is an Azerbaijani national pattern that resembles an almond nut and is an important part of the Azerbaijani ornament. The aesthetic interpretation of the elements has a very deep meaning and symbolism.
