I sometimes like to copy American landscape artists of 1800’s to get a feel of their style. I was going through some art history book in library that this painting by Asher B. Durand catches my eye. The immense blue-sky vast distance and three people by the rocks having a picnic inspired me to do this painting.

Asher Durand style is usually natural landscape combined with some farm animals and few people enjoying their day under bright blue sky.
