Carlos Encinas is a Tucson resident and native. He is a lifelong artist who works in multiple artistic mediums. His current works are computer-assisted, painted, acrylics on wood or metal panel. His paintings are inspired by current socio-political events, popular culture, and personal experiences including Latino-Chicano, border issues. He is influenced by a large variety of artists in history as well as contemporary artists.
Statement
I have been an artist all my life. I realized I was an artist when I was nine years old. I have done many forms of art throughout my 70 years of existence. My newest artworks are inspired by politics, pop, the internet, the internet, culture, along with personal experiences and history. I develop my ideas on my computer primarily using Adobe Photoshop and then transfer those ideas to a wood panel to be painted.
