The painting represents the state of any refugees while they are fleeing together from the serious dangers, whether wars with different types, shapes, and reasons or natural disasters like earthquakes, tsunami, floods, and volcano eruptions. This artwork conveys the state of refugees during their journey and before they reach a safe place. I made the black part bigger to point out the high degree of danger they are fleeing from and also for the lack of vision for the future and the escape to the unknown at anytime which can be at night. As for the refugees themselves, they are on the contrary in varying degrees of white which represent that they are under the spotlight from the media and everything is clear and known. Everyone is filming them and points out that they are victims and they lost all their belongings and most of their families, they don’t have bad intentions for anyone, they simply have bad luck, their only good luck is that they are still alive. Their bottom half is not there which represents the amount of loss and pain they are feeling. On the visible man’s face and his body appears the mental state for any human being in that position.
