Listening to a good sermon and analyzing it can be so inspirational. I got the idea for this painting as I was listening to the Rabbie on the chapter of creation from the Old Testament.
In the beginning there was a lot of spiritual darkness. Then God said let there be light. As eons go by this spiritual darkness decreases and more light that also a symbol of knowledge and understanding shines. According to Kabbalah Jewish mysticism philosophy there are levels in the tree of life that in the painting are represented by Sephiroth of different colors and their connections. Basically, the right-side attributes to masculinity, the left side femininity and the center is the balance between them.
1- Crown: represents the Divine bright yellow on top emanating light
2- Wisdom: on the right side in sapphire blue also distribute it’s characters
3- Understanding: green on the left side is a receiver but tries to keep qualities within.
4- Kindness Mercy: on the right side is light blue and it likes to share.
5- Strength: is similar to #3 in red color
6- Beauty: in dark green is in the center and act as a balance between wisdom and strength.
7- Eternity and Splendor: Â in dark pink.
8- Glory: light pink. Number 7 and 8 are the counterparts of each other.
9- Foundation: orange at the center.
10- Sovereignty: Â God’s presence in the world in brown color.
11- Physicality in gray number 10 and 11 are a part of each other.
Search in sephiroth kabbalah and the tree of life for more explanation of the above.
Background colors on squares are one spectrum of rainbow purple blue and green, on the circles another spectrum red orange and yellow. All these are also colors of the earth.
The painting gives a sense of uplifting and expansion and looks more 3D if viewed with one eye.
