This mask was made here in Canada. In my studio, the materials are copper and the colors of the copper. The Tshokwe have three types of masks. The sacred chunga mask, an attribute of the sovereign, is exhibited on rare occasions, and only a few elderly dignitaries can see it. So it symbolizes power.
